What you need to know before buying on Europe Packer: who sells, how results are ranked, what the service costs and what we check.
Europe Packer is a marketplace: we do not sell any products. Each listing is published by a supplier company, whose name and country are shown on the listing (“Sold by … · professional seller”).
The sales contract is between you and that supplier. Europe Packer presents the catalogue, puts buyers and suppliers in touch and, for orders, organises payment on the supplier's behalf.
A supplier can only publish once our team has reviewed its application.
The catalogue can be browsed without an account. Visitors and individuals see prices including 20% French VAT; businesses see prices excluding VAT once they have registered their company. The “from” price is the lowest unit price across the variants, quantity tiers included.
Individuals only see the suppliers who sell to individuals.
The characteristics, composition, labels and documents of a listing are declared by the supplier. A listing written in another language is translated automatically; the “Automatically translated” notice says so and the original text remains available.
Quote requests will open soon: a business will be able to ask a supplier from its listing, or send one request to several suppliers at once.
No supplier pays for a better position, and no result is sponsored. The commission paid by suppliers has no effect on ranking.
When you search for words, results are ranked by relevance: words found in the product name count most, then those in the variants, product types, categories, materials and options, then those in the description. The search covers every language of the listing. If no word is found as typed, listings with a similar name (typing mistakes) are suggested. At equal relevance, the most recently published listings come first.
Without search words, as on category pages, the most recently published listings come first.
You can also sort by price (low to high or high to low, on the “from” price as you see it), by newest or by stated lead time. With filters, a listing appears if at least one of its variants meets them all; the price shown is then that variant's price.
Only listings published by approved suppliers appear.
Each listing suggests up to 8 products from other suppliers. To be included, a product must share at least one product type with the listing and belong to one of its categories or one of their subcategories.
These products are then ranked by the number of things they have in common: product types, categories (the same category counts more than a subcategory), materials, and dimensions within 20%. At equal score, the cheaper one comes first.
“Compare in search” opens the search filtered on the listing's categories and product types, with all suppliers.
Orders and online payment will open soon. They will work as follows.
You pay when you order, by card or SEPA direct debit, through Stripe, a licensed payment provider. Funds never pass through a Europe Packer account: they are held on the supplier's account at Stripe.
The supplier is paid once you confirm receipt, or automatically 14 days after shipping if you have not reported a problem. An order cancelled before shipping is refunded in full.
Europe Packer is free for buyers: you pay the price shown by the supplier and, where applicable, the delivery costs it states.
Europe Packer earns a commission on each order, paid by the supplier. Its rate depends on the product category, the order amount and the supplier's activity. It has no effect on how results are ranked.
We check that each supplier is an existing company: registration in the SIRENE register for a French company, VAT number with the European VIES system for a company from another EU country. Our team reviews each application before anything is published. A listing is only published when it is complete (product type, category, composition, price, and the characteristics its type requires, such as the dimensions of a box). For certified labels (FSC, PEFC, OK compost…), a certificate number is required.
We do not check the accuracy of declared characteristics, labels and certificate numbers, nor suitability for food contact, stock levels or stated lead times. This information is given by the supplier, under its responsibility. Documents attached to listings are provided by the supplier.
Does a listing look inaccurate, misleading or unlawful? Write to support@europepacker.com with its address: every report is reviewed, and a listing can be removed.
For an order, contact the supplier first. If you cannot find a solution, contact support@europepacker.com: we can help reach an amicable settlement, and payment to the supplier stays on hold while a reported problem is unresolved.
